Like a lot of glass bead makers, I am drawn to brass bead presses. They aren't as easy as they look and take some practice to first get the volume of glass correct and second to deliver a design that will press well. I still play with some presses for shapes and love the way a pressed bead works when constructing jewelry. Button, lentil and nugget shaped beads lay nicely in most jewelry designs.
